Job Summary:

The Facility Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of client facilities, assets, employees, visitors, and vendors. This role requires a high level of integrity, vigilance, and excellence in all aspects of security operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Pinkerton's core values and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
  • Assist in the selection, orientation, development, and retention of staff in compliance with applicable guidelines.
  • Counsel Facility Security Agents regarding job performance and administer disciplines as required.
  • Complete standard interior and exterior patrols, including locking doors, inspecting perimeters, and verifying access control systems.
  • Enforce parking regulations, observe and document suspicious activity, and respond to calls for access to buildings.
  • Oversee security equipment, review CCTV systems, and maintain presence and interactions with visitors, employees, and customers.
  • Investigate suspicious activity, engage with law enforcement, and maintain a safe and secure environment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED and at least five years of Corporate security, law enforcement, private contract security, or specialized military leadership experience.
  • A college degree is preferred in Security or Business/Management.
  • The Illinois PERC is required.
Competencies:
  • Concierge-level customer service experience.
  • Able to complete thorough and accurate investigations and reports.
  • Access control systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring experience.
  • Able to multi-task and organize workload for effective implementation.

Working Conditions:

This role requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. The demands of the job include working in environments and under conditions that may require carrying authorized weapons and ammunition, the use of protective gear and devices, and/or awareness of personal safety.
