Job Description

Travelers Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Data Architect to join our Enterprise Technology Services team. As a key member of our Business Insurance organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cloud-native data architectures that meet business requirements.
  • Design and implement data lakes, warehouses, and analytics platforms using AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and Snowflake.
  • Lead large-scale data migration projects to AWS cloud and ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop and maintain data governance and control processes to ensure data platform health.
  • Partner with cloud and security architects to implement secure and scalable data solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering software or analytic applications within a line of business area.
  • Hands-on experience with DynamoDB, Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon EMR, Snowflake, and other cloud-native data services.
  • Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud.
  • Strong grasp of value creation and business capability models.
