Apa Aesthetic is seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to provide hands-on support to our dentists and ensure the efficient care of patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing intake paperwork, updating patient records, and sterilizing dental tools.
Duties and Responsibilities- Administration:
- General clinic administrative work and maintenance
- Completing lab paperwork under the dentist's direction
- Updating and maintaining clients' dental records
- Taking and processing X-rays of patients
- Reviewing schedules and anticipating dentist needs in advance
- Providing well-written and accurate treatment plans to the Patient Coordinator
- Responsibilities:
- Attending morning meetings prepared to review patients for the day
- Pulling history, what was done last appointment, and what is being done the next appointment
- Ensuring that all proper work has been completed prior to the appointment, if not alerting the front desk
- Turning on compressors and gas
- Making sure all chairs are down and TVs and headphones are working
- Reviewing patient records to be properly prepared
- Selecting and setting up needed instruments, equipment, and materials
- Welcoming patients by greeting them in the reception area by name
- Preparing patients for treatments and ensuring their comfort
- Assisting dentists through four-handed dentistry
- Taking all necessary records for appropriate procedures
- Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Properly sending off patients by walking them to the front desk staff
- Sterilizing instruments according to regulations
- Undertaking lab tasks as instructed, ensuring that prescriptions are fully executed
- Proven experience as a dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
We offer an estimated annual salary of $60,000-$80,000 based on industry standards and location.
