We are seeking a highly skilled Angiographic Tech to join our team at Northwell Health. The successful candidate will assist physicians during interventional and diagnostic procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians during interventional and diagnostic procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to strict protocols.
- Record and maintain accurate data on preliminary reports, ensuring seamless communication with the medical team.
- Administer local anesthesia and insert arterial and venous sheaths under physician supervision, utilizing proper technique and equipment.
- Participate in cardiology and endovascular research, staying up-to-date on the latest advancements and technologies.
- Evaluate new instruments and equipment, providing recommendations to enhance patient outcomes and cost-effectiveness.
- Attend and contribute to departmental conferences, remaining current on changes in interventional cardiology and endovascular procedures.
- Perform arterial sheath removal and provide emergency assistance as needed, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology program.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.) certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years of catheterization laboratory or operating room experience, with expertise in sterile techniques.
- Knowledge of current percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty practices and BLS and ACLS certification.
- Ability to read and interpret hemodynamic and electrocardiograms.
