Ingredion, a Fortune 500 company and leader in the ingredient solutions industry, is seeking a skilled High-Performance Automation Specialist to join our team at the SSC Pea Protein Facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of automated plant processes, systems, and lines.

Salary

The estimated hourly wage for this position ranges from $30 to $40, depending on skills and experience. This figure takes into account the base job requirements, location, and industry standards.

Job Description

As a High-Performance Automation Specialist, you will work closely with other departments to support teamwork and drive area performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading by example in safety practices and demonstrating a commitment to zero injuries and illnesses.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing online issues, as well as performing planned work, continuous improvement projects, and training other technicians and operators.
  • Ensuring compliance with plant regulatory, ISO, quality, food safety systems, GMP policies, guidelines, standards, and requirements.
  • Managing workload to maintain effectiveness and productivity while accurately documenting instrumentation service work.
  • Providing technical assistance to non-technical users on plant floor automation systems and maintaining instrument as-built documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, preferably with schooling in controls/electrical/electronics, including computer science courses.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC Control Systems, HART communication, Allen Bradley drives, and ability to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP, as well as proficiency in industrial mechanics tools, electrician's tools, instrumentation, and control tools.
  • A strong understanding of electrical systems, 4-20mA analog signals, discrete signals, and ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic intermediate PLC ladder logic.
  • Three years of experience in maintenance capacity within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on electronics, controls, and automation.
