Heart and Lung Transplant Care Opportunity

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Heart and Lung Transplant team. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing heart and lung transplants, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in heart and lung transplant care.
Requirements:
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Minimum one year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a critical care or transplant unit
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
