Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Event Planning and Customer Experience Associate to join our team. This individual will be responsible for planning and coordinating events, such as children's birthday parties, craft classes, and other community events. The successful candidate will also provide excellent customer service, ensuring that every guest has a positive and engaging experience in our store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events simultaneously, including children's birthday parties, craft classes, and other community events.
  • Engage with clients of all ages, creating a fun and creative environment for our guests.
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons, such as goody bags, balloons, and more, to company standards.
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including answering emails and phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
  • Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs.
  • Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
  • Evaluate client satisfaction for scheduled events.
  • Maintain company cleanliness and safety standards, setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after each event.

Customer Service Expectations:

  • Assist customers in finding products, providing solutions, and offering exceptional customer service.
  • Provide fast and friendly check-out experiences.
  • Educate customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments.
  • Inform customers about Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
  • Participate in Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, promoting commitment to our organization's vision and values.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess excellent people skills, experience working with children, and good communication skills, both written and verbal. Retail and/or customer service experience is required. Additionally, the ability to remain standing for long periods, move throughout the store, and lift heavy boxes is necessary.

Salary:$45,000 - $55,000 per year
