About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Baystate Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and physicians in the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper use of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Monitor the surgical process and patient condition, anticipating the needs of the surgical team and taking proactive steps to ensure a safe and quality outcome.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide patient care, communicating effectively and maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and infection control practices, adhering to policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in surgical technology and procedures.
Requirements
  • Associates of Science in Surgical Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification and Certified Surgical Technician certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
