Medical Office Assistant

ChristianaCare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join their OB/GYN practice at Map II in Newark, DE. As the first point of contact for patients, the ideal candidate will have prior medical office experience and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Collect and process patient demographic and financial information
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Process payments and verify insurance coverage
- Perform day-end reconciliation of appointments and payments
- Answer phone calls and relay accurate messages
- Communicate with providers and staff through EMR
- Facilitate testing, labs, and appointments for patients
- Prepare medical records and scan documents into patient charts
- Assist with copying, faxing, and general administrative support
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Experience in a medical office setting preferred
