Master's Level Therapist for School-Based Services

About the Role

This is a full-time position as a Master's level therapist based at North Godwin Elementary School, providing therapy, case management, crisis response, and group services in a school and community setting.

The Family Outreach Center values creating a strong team of clinicians that grow together in their clinical skills. Comprehensive supervision and professional development are priorities, including trauma-informed supervision to strengthen client lives and build clinical aptitude.

Upcoming grads are welcome to apply. This year-round position involves a majority caseload from students at your school site, with possible assignments within the school district or Kent County Community Mental Health if necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess mental health and substance use disorders using DSM-5 diagnostic codes.
  • Incorporate person-centered treatment planning approaches with children/families.
  • Develop and implement clinical interventions tailored to child/adolescent and family needs.
  • Provide referrals for psychiatric, community, and other supportive services.
  • Maintain an active caseload while working independently.
  • Complete required clinical reports within deadlines.
  • Partner with school staff and administration to address mental health needs and increase service access.
Requirements

Education: Master's degree (required)

License: LLMSW or LMSW (or equivalent)

Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
