Advanced Radiology Consultants

We are seeking a skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at Advanced Radiology Consultants. This is a part-time position with 32 hours per week, working evening shifts and one Saturday per month.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training. ARRt (R) (MR) certification and Connecticut licensure are required. We prefer candidates with Siemens and GE experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures as ordered, achieving a high level of quality and timeliness.
  • Escort patients to treatment rooms and assist with dressings as necessary.
  • Complete all paperwork necessary to ensure timely delivery of MRI services.
  • Explain MRI procedures to address patient concerns and questions.
  • Administer I.V. contrast.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
  • Complete related paperwork and obtain interpretation by radiologist.
  • Conduct quality control measures to monitor machine performance and report malfunctions and adjustments to the site manager.
  • Focus on customer service and use courtesy and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors to maintain a professional atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ARRT (R) (MR) certification and Connecticut licensure required.
  • Two years of clinical experience in all MRI procedure types.
  • Siemens, GE experience preferred.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
