Position Overview
The Talent Development Consultant plays a key role in driving enterprise-wide change by creating competitive advantage through people. This role works closely with HR leaders to develop and leverage talent, enabling Shaw's workforce to operate at the highest levels of performance. The consultant creates and curates talent tools, programs, and experiences that advance the performance of the business. Key responsibilities include collaborating with HR leaders to design and implement solutions that accelerate individual and business performance, assessing needs and administering leadership development assessment tools, and coaching HR and business leaders to develop effective individual growth and development plans. The consultant also utilizes workforce assessment expertise to coach HR leaders and ensure technology effectively supports enterprise needs. Additionally, they design, develop, and execute accelerated development experiences, facilitate or teach others to facilitate content, and maintain a strong research-based knowledge in talent strategies and practices. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology, human resources, or other related education or experience, as well as knowledge of best practices in the assessment and development of leaders and experience applying/adapting relevant talent management practices within organizations. Demonstrated ability to build constructive, collaborative HR leader relationships across the organization is also essential. Consultative adviser and problem solvers with effective communication and facilitation skills are highly valued. Competencies include demonstrated strategic influence, practice entrepreneurial behavior, building trust relationships, navigating ambiguity, conceptual thinking, receptivity to feedback, and propensity to lead. Work shift is 8 hours non-rotating shift with hours falling to in punch day, observed calendar, and shift starts at AM.
