Job Title: NOC Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Team Lead to join our team at JASINT.

 

Job Summary:

The NOC Team Lead will be responsible for leading the NOC team, ensuring efficient and effective operations, and providing direction and leadership to NOC staff. This role requires strong technical knowledge of network operating systems, data communications engineering, and network administration or management.

 

About the Role:

  • Lead the NOC team: Manage and coordinate NOC team shift coverage, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and implementing processes and procedures according to documented policies.
  • Provide technical guidance: Provide direction, training, and leadership to NOC staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Network monitoring and troubleshooting: Effectively monitor all devices, platforms, and services within a network environment, analyze client LANs/WANs, isolate problems, and recommend reconfiguration and implementation of new network hardware.
  • Incident resolution and communication: Ensure efficient resolution of service requests and incidents, provide timely and accurate communication on service-impacting incidents, and participate in load balancing efforts throughout the network.

 

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a computer-related field, with advanced knowledge of network operating systems.
  • Experience with SNMP and RMON-based software products, Ethernet, FDDI, and high-speed WANs and routers.
  • Demonstrated experience with an IT Network Management and Monitoring System, understanding of DNS, CLI, SSH Client, any service desk/ticketing system, Cisco TACACS, Aruba ClearPass, Microsoft Active Directory, and fundamental MS Office Suite, Windows/other OS, SharePoint knowledge.
