Physical Therapist I, PRN

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist I, PRN to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Direct Patient Care
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patient problems and develop effective treatment plans.
- Implement a variety of physical therapy techniques and modalities to address patient goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Record and Document Patient Information
- Accurately document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to departmental and regulatory standards.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Improvement
- Contribute to quality assurance activities, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting evidence-based solutions.
- Participate in peer review and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental operations.
- Communicate Effectively
- Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to patients and families, promoting understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctorate of PT, required.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist with the State of Maryland is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and practices; and general knowledge of orthopedics, neurology, trauma, pathology, and general medicine is required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are required in order to work with patients and other health care personnel effectively.
- Ability to read, write and speak English in order to follow and give instructions accurately.
