The Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer on our AI Platform team, you'll design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure powering our platform, used daily by healthcare providers caring for patients. You'll work alongside world-class technologists, clinicians, and innovators, exposed to the latest advancements in AI.
In the first 6 months, you'll establish the foundations for long-term success, focusing on platform observability, reliability, and scalability. As a technical leader, you'll oversee the entire lifecycle of major technical initiatives in our AI stack – from system design to deploying your code. Our Engineering roles are hybrid, with a 3x/week presence in our SF office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect major product features leveraging AI advancements to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Anticipate system bottlenecks and proactively re-architect key components to prevent issues for customers.
- Lead high-strategic-value product initiatives, accelerating iteration speed while preventing technical debt accumulation.
- Hold the codebase to a high standard and assist in developing engineering processes promoting high-quality code shipping.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- You've spent 5+ years working on challenging software engineering problems spanning multiple teams.
- You're comfortable working on modern infrastructure stacks, including cloud providers (AWS, GCP), containers (Docker), queuing systems (SQS, Kafka), and standard database technologies (Postgres).
- You have a proven ability to own execution of ideas from inception to successful outcomes.
- You're flexible and willing to take projects across the tech stack to ensure their completion.
- You're a low-ego team player who prioritizes collaborative idea discovery, even if they're not your ideas.
