Oncology Nurse Navigator Position

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Navigator to join our team at Duke Health. As a key member of our cancer care team, you will play a vital role in providing personalized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to address health system barriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and address barriers, provide personalized education and support, and communicate with other members of the care team to support patients receiving timely, quality care.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with patients and caregivers, and collaborate with cancer care providers and community resources to support seamless, timely care.
- Identify gaps in care and facilitate reduction or elimination of barriers to seamless, timely care through patient or system-focused interventions.
- Enhance access to oncology clinical trials and optimize communication with patients, families, and investigators regarding clinical trials.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina and BLS certification.
- Three years of experience in specialty-specific nursing in a hospital, clinic, or community setting.
- Specialty Oncology certification within three years of hire.
