Nuclear Medicine Specialist

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Tech-PRN to join our team.
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform and process patient scintigraphic examinations and selected bioassays or therapeutic procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation safety practices and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Perform imaging and therapeutic procedures according to requirements and other duties to assure quality patient care.
- Schedule patient procedures, document patient information, present proper patient information for interpretation and billing, and other non-clinical duties to support exam completion.
- Operate the CPCS system for the hospital and radiology.
- Demonstrate concern for the patient and co-workers by performing activities other than primary care needs.
- Provide age-appropriate care to all patients.
Requirements:
- Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Program Required.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Required Licenses: [West Virginia, United States] Other Certification from any two agencies: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) (N), or licensed and registered radiologic technologist.
- Minimum Work Experience: One year training with demonstrated proficiency in the field of Nuclear Medicine.
