Job Summary

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Under the direction of a physician, you will assist in the delivery of healthcare services, performing a wide range of patient care activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take and record patient histories and vital signs
  • Assist physicians or physician assistants with patients
  • Document patient medical history and record vital signs in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Initiate patient contact and prepare patients by obtaining vital signs
  • Take and record patient history and vital signs
  • Separate and prioritize the physician's mail
  • Take and record all vital signs
  • Measure vital signs and record information in the patient's chart
  • Verify patient information by interviewing the patient
  • Maintain patient charts, administer in-office procedures, take patient vital signs, and answer phones
  • Verify patient information, take vital signs, and room patients
  • Provide information on patient conditions while assisting physicians with medical equipment and patient vital signs
  • Ensure patient medical records are accurate and up-to-date
  • Collect and record vital signs and medical history
  • Measure vital signs and record information on patients' charts
Requirements
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, often stressful environment
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of principles of aseptic and sterile technique
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments
  • Knowledge of computers, keyboard, email programs, and the use of web-based applications
  • Basic understanding of rules, regulations, and retrieval of insurance information
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
