Eastern Michigan University is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach in the Interior Design program. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching various courses, including software for studio courses, environmental psychology, and building information modeling.

The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in interior design with a focus on or experience in the course topics. Teaching experience, a Ph.D. degree, or professional experience in the field of teaching are also desirable.

This is a 100% appointment, and the estimated salary for this position is $40-$60 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description:

  • Teach one or more of the following courses: Software for Studio Courses, Environmental Psychology for Interior Design, Building Information Modeling
  • Meet with students during and outside of scheduled classes
  • Evaluate student performance
  • Develop syllabi and course materials
  • Assign and submit grades following Eastern Michigan University's established schedules

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in interior design with a focus on or experience in the course topics
  • Teaching experience, a Ph.D. degree, or professional experience in the field of teaching are desirable
