Located in the heart of the central business district and adjacent to Busch Stadium, Ballpark Village is the center for St. Louis regional entertainment and hosts more than an estimated 6 million visitors annually with 150+ events per year.

Position Summary:

The Promotions Manager is responsible for guiding the team in planning and executing revenue driving approaches that yield measurable improvements in district and venue sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior management, general managers, and marketing directors to make decisions about strategies to drive revenue.
  • Exercise independent discretion and judgment to drive revenue through:
    • Data collection and analysis.
    • Strategic partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Developing and executing promotional campaigns.
    • Negotiating rates and terms with vendors and partners.
    • Managing and directing hourly team members to work promotional hours and events.
    • Hosting bi-weekly training sessions for team members on data collection, marketing strategies, and promotional initiatives.
    • Preparing weekly scorecard reports documenting performance in areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be savvy in marketing and promotional strategies, particularly with respect to social media.
  • Must be highly organized and reliable.

Requirements:

  • Able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
  • Ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, meetings, etc.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
