Role Overview

We're seeking skilled engineers to join our Radiation Effects & Survivability (RES) team. As an RES engineer at Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and analyzing complex electronic products for space systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Radiation analysis and shielding design for satellite payload systems
  • Test plans and reports for radiation testing of electronic components
  • Radiation predictions using NOVICE, SPENVIS, CREME96, OMERE, and other tools
  • Material degradation analysis and interface with multiple disciplines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or closely related field with 12 years of experience
  • Extensive RES design and analysis experience
  • Knowledge of physics associated with radiation effects in semiconductor devices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or closely related field
  • Experience with radiation tools like NOVICE, AE9AP9, CRÈME, SPENVIS
  • CAD modeling experience with Creo Parametric

We offer a competitive salary range of $165,000 - $247,900 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
