Job Summary

The Case Aide - Transportation Specialist will assist the medical, educational, and case management teams with client transportation to appointments in the community as needed. This role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate will be open and available to assist the teams in any way needed to support the children in the program.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to clients for medical appointments, legal appointments, hearings, and other social agencies
• Effectively report the behavior of children during transportation to foster parents and the treatment team
• Assist the medical team with administrative tasks as needed
• Provide language interpretation to clients for appointments in the community when needed
• Provide supervision of youth in the classroom when needed
• Ensure professional boundaries are established and maintained at all times on the job and especially when supervising youth
• Maintain an adequate knowledge of trauma and attend continuous training in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure compliance with trauma-informed environment
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual: English and Spanish required
• Knowledge of trauma and willingness to be trained in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure compliance with trauma-informed environment
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
• Must be willing and able to provide language interpretation services
• Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service
• Ability to work with time-sensitive deadlines and tasks
• Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license and at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage
• Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries
• Documentation of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases or the willingness to receive vaccination, or seeking an exemption
• Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith and Mission Statement
