Data Center Infrastructure Specialist

At Equinix, we're committed to delivering best-in-class service to our data center customers. As a Data Center Technician III, you'll be at the forefront of all we do, maintaining critical facilities infrastructure as part of a close-knit team.

Job Summary: Data Centers are considered Critical Facilities, supporting hospitals, laboratories, and public safety centers. In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting and installing sophisticated circuits, performing custom installations, and ensuring accurate cable management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reads installation plans and implements installations accordingly
  • Installs circuits requiring sophisticated fiber terminations
  • Escalates to and works with the networking group as needed
  • Installs, tests, and modifies cross connects per SOPs
  • Designs and leads cage / infrastructure modification projects
  • Completes all assigned training in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Night shift (7pm-7am) is required two quarters per year
  • Ability to work any assigned shift, off-schedule, fill in for workmates, respond to emergencies, holidays, nights, etc.
