Senior Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Senior Transportation Specialist to join our team at InnovAge. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our frail and elderly participants to their appointments and activities.
Responsibilities- Drive InnovAge vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to our policies and procedures.
- Load and unload participants in and out of vehicles, assisting them with their belongings and providing support as needed.
- Transport participants to all pre-arranged appointments, ensuring their timely arrival and departure.
- Deliver in-home meals, supplies, and medications to participants, verifying the correct items are received by the correct individuals.
- Assist participants with simple tasks, such as helping them with outerwear and moving obstructing items, as needed and appropriate.
- Communicate with Dispatch to update them on all events of your assigned routes.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of your assigned vehicle, coordinating van maintenance with the Manager of Transportation.
- Assist other drivers with loading and unloading participants arriving and exiting the center.
- Participate in the interdisciplinary team to formulate Plans of Care for InnovAge PACE program participants.
- Valid state-issued Class C Driver's License with previous DOT and Defensive Driving experience.
- One year of experience working with the frail or elderly.
- High school diploma or GED, or previous experience of one year or more within the realm of the position's duties and responsibilities.
- At least 21 years of age with a good driving record.
- Six months of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs.
- Knowledge of how to use and maintain position equipment.
- Experience transporting the elderly.
