Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and be able to work effectively in a team setting.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New Hampshire license.
• Current BCLS certification required upon hire.
• Current ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Current PALS certification required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
• Two to three years experience in critical care, emergency care, post anesthesia care, or ambulatory surgical care.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Working Conditions
The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Physical Requirements
The Registered Nurse will be required to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the workday. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 35 pounds and push/pull up to 37 pounds.
Functional Responsibility
The nurse is accountable and responsible to the patient for providing nursing care in accordance with the New Hampshire Nurse Practice Act and the Patient Bill of Rights to meet the needs of pediatric through geriatric patients utilizing the nursing process, clinical judgment, physician's orders, the American Society of Post Anesthesia Nursing Standards, American Academy of Ambulatory Nursing Standards, and the medical plan of care.
Performance Expectations
• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
• Follows the seven medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors.
• Performs patient care using an integrated approach that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
Organizational Relationships
The Registered Nurse will work closely with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Performance Evaluation
The Registered Nurse will be evaluated based on their ability to provide high-quality patient care, work effectively in a team setting, and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
