Animal Shelter Outreach Coordinator

**Job Overview**

The City of Cookeville is seeking an Animal Shelter Outreach Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our animal welfare team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing community outreach and education programs targeting primarily young adults and children.

**Responsibilities:**

• Recruit and train volunteers to assist with animal care and outreach programs
• Develop and implement humane education activities for children
• Assist with marketing adoptable animals and participate in off-site adoption events
• Collaborate with shelter staff to develop and implement animal enrichment programs

**Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Education, or related field (High School diploma or equivalent and a Tennessee Driver's License are required)
• Experience working with animals, in customer service, or with public speaking preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

**Salary Range:** $45,000 - $60,000 per year
