Overview

Avera St Luke's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tests and procedures while utilizing scientific principles and technical expertise.

Salary

The hourly range for this position is $27.50-$41.50 per hour, with the actual hourly rate dependent on experience.

Job Description

This role involves quality control, maintenance of laboratory procedures, and continuing education in the clinical laboratory field. You will utilize scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance, and corrective action.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science and completion of NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program;
  • Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent within 12 months of hire;
