About the PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. **Job Summary
The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to patients and their families, directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team, assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
**Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patient care needs, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care and communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient care, including medication administration, vital signs, and laboratory results.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
**Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program, current Ohio license or interim permit, and relevant experience in acute care settings. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
**What We Offer
The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute offers a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
