We are seeking a Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Charter Care Health Partners. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the Registered Nurses on our team.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Job Description

In this role, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking patient vital signs and monitoring their condition
  • Assisting with procedures and examinations
  • Administering medication as directed by the Registered Nurse
  • Supporting patients with activities of daily living
  • Instructing patients and their families on appropriate care

You will also collaborate with the Registered Nurse to assess patient response to treatment and provide input into the development of the nursing care plan.

In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of patient care and adhering to established procedures and hospital policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current LPN licensure in Rhode Island
  • No prior experience required
  • The ability to calculate medication dosage and perform nursing procedures safely and effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines

You will also need to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
