Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our team at Carson Group Holdings, LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in leading our financial firm through the complexities of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) specifically related to talent integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies and frameworks aligning with the company's M&A objectives.
  • Conduct thorough HR due diligence to assess potential risks, benefits, and integration challenges from structure and compensation perspectives.
  • Collaborate with Talent and other business leaders to identify M&A process improvements, enhancements, and recommendations of new solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for operational and cultural synergies between merging entities.
  • Develop and implement integration plans to realize identified synergies, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with business goals.
  • Evaluate the target company's HR policies, practices, and compliance status.
  • Assess employment terms, compensation structures, benefit programs, and organizational design.
  • Identify potential HR-related liabilities and development mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze and integrate compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable packages for all stakeholders.
  • Harmonize compensation structures and incentive plans post-acquisition.
  • Organizational Design and Development
  • Lead the design and restructuring of the organization to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop talent management strategies to support the integration process, including leadership development, succession planning, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Lead ongoing recruiting for offices joining Carson through the M&A process.
  • Act as primary liaison between Carson recruiting strategy and all relevant wholly owned office stakeholders.
  • Provide comprehensive HR support across various functions, including recruitment, stakeholder relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management on HR-related matters.
  • Main point of contact for wholly owned stakeholders and managers for HR and Talent related items.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of HR regulations and employment law.
  • Comfort handling complex problems while escalating issues to a manager when necessary.
  • Inherent and intentional customer service skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality of Human Resources information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to train others and document processes.
  • A self-motivated professional who demonstrates initiative, flexibility, teamwork, and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to interface with and influence all levels of Carson stakeholders.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of HR experience, prefer exposure and experience with M&A.
  • Background in the recruiting process.
  • Strong understanding of M&A processes, including due diligence, integration planning, and synergy realization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex and confidential information.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
