Automotive Mechanic

Berglund Toyota is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Toyota vehicles. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of our customers' vehicles.
This position involves working with a variety of Toyota models to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems and communicating directly with service advisors at the dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Conduct maintenance services, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
- Repair or replace automotive parts and systems, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes.
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and guidelines for all vehicle makes and models.
- Inspect vehicles to identify additional service and repair needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and proper care of tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with service advisors and other team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Keep up to date with industry advancements and attend training sessions to enhance your skills.
- Adhere to safety and environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure quality work and customer satisfaction with every repair or service.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
- State Inspection License is required.
- Knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and the ability to use diagnostic equipment.
- Experience using alignment lifts, mount and balancers, and brake lathes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn various software applications related to vehicle manufacturer(s).
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
