Job Summary

As an Admissions Specialist at Broward College, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to prospective and current students. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and process admissions applications, ensuring that all necessary documents are complete and accurate. You will also serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and staff, providing guidance and support to resolve any issues that may arise during the enrollment process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify admissions applications and supporting documents to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Assess and process applications, transcripts, and records to determine eligibility for admission.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the enrollment process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring that all information is complete and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform data entry and maintain various computer databases to support the admissions process.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree required; equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in higher education admissions or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of admissions policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
