Job Overview

Norman Regional Health System is a leader in cardiovascular care, and we're seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a cutting-edge hospital, we offer a state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower with three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.

We work closely with nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to provide exceptional patient care. Our hospital has received numerous awards for its commitment to heart health, including the American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation Accreditation, American College of Cardiology NCDR Registry Gold Award, Women's Choice Award in Heart Care, Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Echo Accreditation, and American Association Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Accreditation.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
  • Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
  • Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
  • Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
  • Maintain strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification.
  • Prior procedural area experience is preferred.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification, CV or CI, and/or VI certification are required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care, and current BLS certification must be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment.
  • Advanced Life Support (ACLS) training must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained through the duration of employment.
Compensation and Benefits
