At York Space Systems LLC, we are seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Aerospace Propulsion Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to contribute to the growth and development of our core products, working across various programs and applying different propulsion technologies to have a direct influence on both commercial and national security missions.
We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $160,000 per year, based on experience, which includes a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, and a 401K plan.

We specialize in end-to-end customer solutions and rapid production of spacecraft platforms, offering a complete Space Segment Solution including spacecraft production, payload integration, system integration & test, launch services, ground segment services, and mission operations.
Responsibilities- Support the full life cycle of propulsion systems, from vendor selection to AI&T and on-orbit operations.
- Collaborate with propulsion hardware suppliers and internal supply chain teams to drive and support procurement.
- Perform delta-v calculations based on mission requirements and subsystem performance.
- Validate propulsion interfaces and collaborate with other spacecraft systems engineers to resolve technical issues.
- Generate and release system-level specifications and ICDs, supporting design and engineering reviews.
- Participate in testing, fueling, and verification of flight and ground hardware.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field required.
- 1-5 years of experience in propulsion, spacecraft, launch vehicle, or related fields.
- Understanding of electric and chemical propulsion systems and their subcomponents.
- Relevant hands-on hardware experience.
- Demonstrates self-initiated work in a team environment.
- Excellent communicator with a desire to strengthen the entire team.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Active security clearance.
- Ability to provide ownership of the full life cycle of propulsion systems.
- Experience in the design, testing, or operations of satellite propulsion systems.
