Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Tool Coordinator to join our team at RFS Technologies, Inc. in the United States. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year.

About the Role

The Manufacturing Tool Coordinator will be responsible for managing the tool crib to ensure tools and equipment are properly stored, tracked, maintained, and distributed. The role includes maintaining accurate inventory records by creating and managing up-to-date recordkeeping for tooling inventory, ordering tools and supplies, and ensuring stock levels are available to meet ongoing production demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tool and Equipment Management:
    • Issue tools, equipment, and supplies to manufacturing staff as needed.
    • Maintain an organized and clean tool crib.
    • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of tools.
    • Identify any necessary repairs or replacements of tools.
    • Ensure tools are calibrated and meet safety and quality standards.
  • Inventory Control:
    • Monitor and maintain tool crib inventory levels.
    • Perform full physical inventories of tools and equipment.
    • Record tool usage, returns, and any losses or damages.
    • Coordinate to reorder tools and materials based on production demands.
  • Recordkeeping and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of tools issued, returned, and on hand.
    • Track tool lifespan, calibration dates, and required maintenance.
    • Prepare reports on tool usage, inventory levels, and any discrepancies or issues.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure that the tool crib is compliant with all safety regulations.
    • Conduct safety inspections on tools and equipment before distributing them.
    • Maintain and enforce proper labeling and storage procedures for hazardous materials and tools.
  • Customer Service:
    • Assist production staff by locating tools and equipment quickly and efficiently.
    • Provide guidance, if necessary, on the proper use and care of tools.
    • Respond to requests for special tools or materials and facilitate procurement as necessary.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in an inventory management or tool crib environment within manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with inventory control procedures and knowledge of manufacturing tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Versed in safety regulations and best practices in handling tools and hazardous materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
