Hotel Front Desk Associate

Job Overview
The Hotel Front Desk Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our hotel's front desk services. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to provide exceptional guest experiences.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $17.50 - $19.50, along with an excellent benefits package that includes medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match for full-time associates.
Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner, registering them, issuing room keys, and providing information on hotel services and room location.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures, including posting charges, completing cashier reports, and preparing deposits.
- Up-selling and Revenue Generation: Up-sell rooms whenever possible to maximize hotel revenue and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Safe Deposit and Key Management: Issue, control, and release guest safe-deposit boxes and manage key inventory.
- Communication and Problem-Solving: Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management and respond appropriately to guest complaints, making service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours).
- Basic knowledge of computers and software, including proficiency in email, word processing, spreadsheet software, and hotel management systems.
