- Perform functions necessary for preventing cross-connection backflow, including developing and maintaining district safe drinking water policies and guidelines.
- Repair and maintain backflow prevention assemblies, decontaminate and clean up pollution or contamination of district water systems due to backflow.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and other items to ensure availability in good working condition.
- Prepare documentation, including work orders and regulatory reports, to provide written support and convey information.
- Renovate plumbing systems to comply with building codes and meet accessibility and functionality requirements.
- Repair school site plumbing, equipment, and components, including faucets, mixing valves, and steam leaks.
- Job-related experience within the specialized field is required, with 3-4 years preferred.
- Targeted job-related education that meets the organization's prerequisite requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current driver's license.
- Ability to operate equipment used in the trade, including general hand and power tools, saws, manlift, and forklift.
