Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.

  • Install and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures, including hot water heaters, drinking fountains, and bathroom fixtures.
  • Perform functions necessary for preventing cross-connection backflow, including developing and maintaining district safe drinking water policies and guidelines.
  • Repair and maintain backflow prevention assemblies, decontaminate and clean up pollution or contamination of district water systems due to backflow.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and other items to ensure availability in good working condition.
  • Prepare documentation, including work orders and regulatory reports, to provide written support and convey information.
  • Renovate plumbing systems to comply with building codes and meet accessibility and functionality requirements.
  • Repair school site plumbing, equipment, and components, including faucets, mixing valves, and steam leaks.
Requirements:
  • Job-related experience within the specialized field is required, with 3-4 years preferred.
  • Targeted job-related education that meets the organization's prerequisite requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Ability to operate equipment used in the trade, including general hand and power tools, saws, manlift, and forklift.
