About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our experienced maintenance team at a Dow Coatings manufacturing plant. As an Instrument Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial instrumentation, including pressure, liquid level, flow, temperature, automated valves, valve positioners, pneumatic systems, solenoids, and limit switches.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve instrument maintenance issues on Emerson HART, Fieldbus, or ASi bus systems.
  • Specify instrumentation for replacements and upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain job procedures.
  • Act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial or industrial instrumentation/electrical work experience.
  • Ability to work legally in the United States.
Preferred Skills
  • Instrumentation certification.
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with basic controls theory, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and human machine interface (HMI).
  • SAP experience.
