Description:

Maintaining Instrumental Excellence

We are seeking a skilled Certified Calibration Technician to join our team at Micro Precision. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of various instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instrument Calibration

You will be responsible for calibrating a wide range of instruments, including electrical equipment, dimensional equipment, industrial/mechanical equipment, temperature equipment, and RF/optical equipment.

Calibration Process

  • Implementing Quality Standards

You will implement applicable requirements, customer specifications, and quality standards to ensure that all instruments meet the required standards.

Pre-Evaluation and Inspection

  • Conducting Visual Checks

You will conduct pre-evaluation and inspections of all customer equipment, including visual checks, cleaning, functional testing, and self-testing.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Coordinating with Colleagues

You will collaborate with other technicians, customer service representatives, sales teams, and purchasing departments to ensure seamless communication and effective project management.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Generating Reports

You will analyze data, compute uncertainty, upload data, and generate reports to ensure that all calibration data is accurate and sufficient for complete reproducibility.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensuring Quality Standards

You will ensure compliance with quality standards based on existing and approved quality procedures, as well as maintain safety protocols during work activities.

Continuous Learning

  • Staying Up-to-Date

You will continue to receive training in all aspects of MP Calibration Services and share gained knowledge and best practices with the rest of the team.

Salary Information:

This role comes with a competitive salary of approximately $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Technical or Related Education

A degree in Metrology, Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.

  • Training and Certification

Complete QMS exams 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 201, and 401 with a minimum score of 70%.

  • Work Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic technology or dimensional/ mechanical technology is required.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of calibration procedures, and ability to drive four-wheel vehicles (with valid driver's license).
