Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to accurately and timely fill patient prescriptions. This role requires strong interpersonal and people skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalency and an active Pharmacy Technician license with the State of Washington.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Comply with Neighborcare policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and protect patient privacy and security.
  • Handle cash drawer; responsible for daily deposits and reconciliation.
  • Place, receive, unpack and store drug orders. Maintains inventory. File and retrieve pharmacy records.
  • Answers phone, triage calls, and answer inquiries as appropriate.
  • Assist in training pharmacy staff. Able to interpret written prescriptions, perform pharmacy calculations, and maintain efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform patient engagement activities such as patient outreach, medication adherence monitoring, and patient health outcomes monitoring.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license with the State of Washington
