Job Summary

VSP Vision is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Reception - Technician to join our team at Eye Doctor's Optical Outlets. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, supporting the Doctor and Office Manager, and ensuring excellent patient flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide unsurpassed customer service to attract and retain customers
  • Greet customers, explain the process and exam pricing in a transparent way, and check-in and pretest patients in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Ensure insurance is properly verified prior to Doctor encounter and answer phones properly and in a timely manner
  • Assist in other areas of the office as necessary, including dispensing eyewear, and serve as a center of excellence for others with a focus on Right the First Time providing outstanding patient satisfaction from the first interaction
  • Handle tasks such as adjusting or fitting eyewear carefully and correctly, ensuring details are thorough and exact, and inform Office Manager of any office problems noted by staff, doctors, or patients
  • Perform all tasks assigned by Office Manager
Requirements
  • One to two years of experience in a related field
  • Working knowledge of MS Office package
  • Effective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and be available for incoming calls and inquiries
  • Effective written communication skills to clearly document patient visits
  • Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills
  • Ability to ask appropriate and relevant questions to identify patient needs and ability to listen, process transactions, and interact with patients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
