Music Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Music Therapist to provide rehabilitative programs and services to patients at Atascadero State Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or a closely related field and National Certification Counsel for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) certification or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide recovery-focused treatment activities and participate on treatment teams of assigned patients.

• Develop, maintain, or restore physical, emotional, and social competencies of patients through appropriate patient assessment, service planning, therapeutic activities, discharge planning, and community reintegration.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or closely related field required.

• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
