Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aid/Cook is a vital member of our culinary team at Acadia Healthcare, responsible for preparing and delivering food according to the nutritional needs of our patients and residents. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure to ensure that meals are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary requirements
- Load and unload supplies, store food and supplies, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist the cook in meal preparation and service, including cooking duties as assigned
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, residents, and personnel
- Meet scheduled meal and snack times, and follow Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures
Requirements:
- 6 months or more of verifiable dietary setting experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate level of attention to detail and planning and organizing skills
- Intermediate level of oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues
