Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 per year

About the Job

The Senior Financial Manager will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting for Optica and the Optica Foundation, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing staff members who are responsible for general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and taxes, as well as implementing effective internal controls and policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Finance and Accounting: Ensure that financial statements and reports comply with GAAP and regulatory requirements, prepare and review financial statements, and monitor financial performance.
  • Annual Budget and Analysis: Support the annual budget process, provide ad hoc and special financial analysis, and participate in review meetings.
  • Cash Management: Monitor operating account balances, recommend necessary cash transfers, and review monthly investment reports.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and communicate finance and accounting policies and procedures, review and update SOPs, and enforce established internal controls.
  • Team Leadership: Lead team members to develop skills and knowledge, clarify roles and responsibilities, and build a supportive team environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, a CPA certification, and at least 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting with management experience. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and risk management, as well as solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, accounts payable, general ledger, and fixed assets.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with ERP system, Dynamics SL, and Management Reporter
  • Experience with Solver BI360 and Tableau is a plus
