Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels. As a key member of our Operating Room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of a professional nurse, perform all processes related to the delivery of direct patient care and assistance care in the OR prior to and during any surgical procedure.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field, pass instruments, and suture to the physician, and assist as directed by the physician.
  • Cooperate in team planning and execution, demonstrating clinical expertise in the use and care of all surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Familiar with facility policy and procedure regarding decontamination, processing, and sterilization of all instruments and supplies that are processed within the facility.
  • Demonstrate competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in a manner that meets the population-specific and developmental needs of patients served by the department.
Requirements
  • BLS required
  • Certification of Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required

This is a full-time position.
