Job Summary

">

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Mental Health Specialist in Neurology. The ideal candidate will have specialized training or experience in Psychiatry and be licensed to practice as a nurse practitioner in the State of New York.

Responsibilities

">
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, administer diagnostic tests, and create patient care plans.
  • Administer treatment and observe patients' functioning over time.
  • Maintain updated clinical records in Electronic Health Records.
  • Process medication requests and prior authorization requests.
  • Obtain outside medical records from outside providers.
  • Conduct telephone triage during office hours.

Qualifications

">
  • A Nurse Practitioner degree with specialized training or experience in Psychiatry.
  • A current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in the State of New York.
  • Masters degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • RN licensure in New York State and board-certified by either ANCC or AANP.
  • APN authorization in the state of New York to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Prescriptive authorization.
  • DEA License.
  • Experience providing primary care as a family nurse practitioner.
  • Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
  • Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology.
  • A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English (and Spanish if you have it).
  • Knowledge of disease prevention.

Compensation and Benefits

">

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
