About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an Acute Dialysis Nurse at Mount Auburn Hospital and Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge and Everett. As a critical care nurse specialist, you will provide lifesaving care during regularly scheduled and on-call shifts, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver specialized nephrology treatments.

  • Work Schedule: 4 days per week, including every other Saturday, with 1x per week 6p-6a and 1x per month on a weekend on-call shift.
Job Description

As a critical care nurse specialist, you will work daily in a hospital setting, delivering dialysis to patients at a contracted healthcare system and becoming an integral part of both the hospital and DaVita team. You will oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs, conducting patient observations, measuring stats, and machine setup. This role requires a current RN license and offers training with opportunities for further professional development.

  • Responsibilities: Deliver dialysis treatments, conduct patient assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans.

You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing specialty nephrology care within various settings, including ICUs, CCUs, EDs, and more. This position also offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to balance your work and personal life.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice and an Associate's Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) from an accredited school of nursing. Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg is preferred but not required. You may also consider obtaining certifications like CNN or CDN to enhance your skills and career prospects.

  • Preferred Qualifications: ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg experience; Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)
