Front End Loader Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front End Loader Operator to join our team at GAPS FS, a leading agricultural cooperative. As a key member of our retail supply location team, you will be responsible for operating a front end loader to scoop and lift product to the processing area, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a front end loader (John Deere 244J) in tight areas to load product into processing areas, blender, and to load trucks.
  • Maintain operations at retail supply location, following maintenance schedules of facility and equipment.
  • Responsible for inventory and distribution of products, as well as driving and delivering miscellaneous products as requested.
  • Stock and move warehouse product and material, assisting both full-time and part-time operations personnel.
  • Maintain the facility and equipment image, and assist in obtaining goals by improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Provide excellent customer service, working with location manager on all safety and compliance issues.

Requirements:

  • Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent, and 1 or more years of retail related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of basic business principals of inventory management and mechanics.
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Frequently required to lift 51-70 lbs as needed, and work in extreme weather conditions.
