About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering and contribute to the development of new products and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain feedback from critical stakeholders involved in new product or process improvement
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects on time and on budget
  • Apply lean manufacturing, six sigma, and other manufacturing best practices to new products to improve efficiency and eliminate waste
  • Find and pitch improvement ideas, and execute ideas if approved into a full project
  • Document best practices discovered and/or standards implemented
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering, or related field in the United States
  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
