Healthcare Associate

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Associate to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facilities.
Responsibilities:- Greet patients with a warm and friendly tone, providing excellent customer service from initial contact through the duration of their visit.
- Register patients, collect demographic and financial information, and schedule appointments accurately and efficiently.
- Assist patients, nurses, and providers with various tasks and responsibilities in the clinic setting, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Perform vital signs, obtain medical histories, and conduct Point of Care Testing as required, maintaining the highest standards of quality control and safety.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a nursing assistant, EMT, or medical assistant program of study preferred.
- Certification/Licenses: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory; medical assistant certification within one year of hire is also required.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with others, and strong organizational abilities.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of medical experience, preferably in direct patient contact roles.
This role requires daily contact with infectious diseases and body fluids, necessitating knowledge of general safety standards to minimize exposure risks. Physical demands include bending, stooping, and lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional long periods of sitting and keyboard usage.
